Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an electromagnetic contactor with an auxiliary contact is required in the prior arts, an additional circuit is required for monitoring the auxiliary contact and cost may be increased as a result.SOLUTION: A motor drive circuit includes: an AC/DC conversion part for converting an AC voltage into a DC voltage by switching a plurality of power elements; a control circuit which performs PWM switching control on the plurality of power elements; a current detection circuit which detects an input current from an AC power source to the AC/DC conversion part; an electromagnetic contactor which switches supply and cut-off of power from the AC power source; and a DC link part including a smoothing capacitor for a DC voltage. After the electromagnetic contactor is turned off for cutting power supply from the AC power source to the AC/DC conversion part in the state where the DC link part is charged, in the case where the input current is detected when PWM switching control is performed on the plurality of power elements in accordance with a switching command, the control circuit determines that the electromagnetic contactor is deposited.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
