Abstract:
To provide a motor drive device capable of suppressing damage to a regenerative circuit or the like.SOLUTION: A motor drive device 10 includes: a converter 14 for converting an AC voltage supplied from an AC power source 16 into a DC voltage; a smoothing capacitor 22 for smoothing a DC voltage output from the converter; an inverter 28 for converting the DC voltage smoothed by the smoothing capacitor into an AC voltage to drive a motor 12; a regeneration circuit 48 that is provided between the smoothing capacitor and the inverter, includes a first resistor 50 and a first switch 52, and short-circuits both ends of the smoothing capacitor via the first resistor by turning on the first switch; and a control unit 60 for maintaining the first switch in an off state in emergency stop.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
