Title:
MOTOR DRIVER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3795477
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driver in which abnormality of a current sensor can be detected regardless of the cause thereof.
SOLUTION: When a current command value for a PDU 3 is set as the torque command value of a motor 1, feedback operating units 14a and 14b compare phase currents being fed to the motor 1 with the current command value and calculate a voltage command value for driving the motor 1 according to the torque command value. A voltage loss corrector in a current sensor failure detector 19 corrects the loss in the PDU 3 for the voltage command value to calculate a corrected voltage command value being fed actually to the motor 1. Since an inverter current estimator in the current sensor failure detector 19 calculates a PDU current being estimated to flow through the PDU 3 based on the current command value and the corrected voltage command value, a current sensor judging means in the current sensor failure detector 19 makes a decision whether a battery current sensor 5 is abnormal or not by comparing a battery current detected by the battery current sensor 5 with the PDU current.
