To definitely protect turn portions of a winding sticking out of a stator core and make the work simpler at a lower cost by hardening in a covered state the turn portions of a winding exposed at both the ends of a stator core and by providing an adhesive sheet adhered fully to the turn portions.
After winding an adhesive sheet 1 having no notch 2 around outer periphery of a turn portion 6 of a winding 5 exposed from both the ends of stator core 4, a portion having notch 2 is folded to the inner side, and the whole of the outer peripheral surface, end surface and inner peripheral surface of the turned portion is covered with an adhesive sheet 1. A lead wire is pulled out between the start and the end of the adhesive sheet 1. Since the adhesive sheet 1 is in a semi-hardened state, the turn portion 6 has a high conformability to irregularity without creating wrinkles or folded seams and can be tightly adhered by bending along the surface of the turn portion 6 almost on the whole surface, and the adhesive sheet 1 can be kept to a shape covering the turn portion 6.
