Abstract:

To prevent a toe from changing when fixing a tie rod and to facilitate toe adjustment during periodic inspection or maintenance by enhancing rustproof performance.

A longitudinally extending rod 6 is coupled to each of knuckles A supporting right and left steering wheels, and an upwardly curved rod 12 is coupled to each end of the tie rod 10. The end 12b of each curved rod 12 is connected to the end of the rod 6 of the knuckle A by a ball joint 8. A guide hole 22 and a tapped hole 23 that pass through the first end 12a of the curved rod 12 are provided at the first end 12a in such a way as to be coaxial with each other. The unthreaded shank of the tie rod 10 is fitted into the guide hole 22 in the curved rod 8, and a threaded shank 23 at the end of the tie rod 10 and a threaded plug 24 are threaded into the tapped hole 23, with the end face of the threaded plug 24 strongly pressed against the end face of the tie rod 10.
