Abstract:
PURPOSE:To readily mount an arc resistant ring with high reliability by forming a thin hollow disk by laterally cutting a cylinder of fluorine resin, forming it in a cylindrical shape, then inserting it on a creeping insulating layer, and thermally shrinking it. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder of fluorine resin is cut laterally in the prescribed thickness to form a thin hollow dislike material 7a. The material 7a is so formed in a cylindrical shape that the inner diameter is larger than the outer diameter of a creeping insulating layer 6A and the length is substantially equal to the axial length l of the layer 6A to form an arc resistant ring 7. The ring 7 is inserted to the layer 6A coated with an adhesive 9, the ring 7 and the adhesive 9 are then heated to thermally contract the ring 7 and to harden the adhesive 9, thereby securing the ring 7 to the layer 6.
