To provide a mounting structure simplifying replacement work of a drain control valve for draining water stored in a water tank in a flush toilet and stopping drain operation after draining to start storing water again, from a conventional drain control valve to an improved drain control valve while utilizing an existing drain pipe as it is.
The mounting structure is provided for fixing a valve element support mechanism of the drain control valve for the toilet water tank detachably to the drain pipe, wherein the drain control valve has a hollow valve element capable of opening/closing a drain port of the drain pipe opened into the toilet water tank, through an annular collar part; the valve element support mechanism for supporting the valve element turnably in a direction to open/close the drain port; an exhaust hole provided between the collar part and a bottom part of the valve element to exhaust air from a hollow part of the valve element; and a water filling hole provided at the bottom part of the valve element to fill water into the hollow part of the valve element. The mounting structure includes a fitting means onto the outer peripheral surface of the drain pipe, and the fitting means is connected to the valve element support mechanism and expansible/contractible in the radial direction of the drain port.
