To lower a shelf from the inside of a wall cabinet; to release the state of being at a standing position of the shelf; and to turn it at a horizontal position when using the shelf.
The movable shelf device is provided with: a support member 2 installed inside the wall cabinet 1; a movable frame 3 supported by the support member 2 so as to be elevated and lowered between an elevation end position at which it is housed inside the wall cabinet 1 and a lowering end position at which it is projected to the lower part of the wall cabinet 1; a shelf plate body 4 assembled to the movable frame 3 so as to be turned between the standing position and the horizontal position; a holding means 6 for releasably holding the state of being at the standing position of the shelf plate body 4; and a release means 7 for holding by the holding means 6. When the movable frame 3 is lowered, the holding of the shelf plate body 4 by the holding means 6 is released by the release means 7 at the prescribed lowered position, and the turning to the horizontal position of the shelf plate body 4 is made possible. When the shelf plate body 4 is turned to the standing position and the movable frame 3 is elevated, the holding of the shelf plate body 4 by the holding means 6 is not released.
