Abstract:
To provide a muffler providing superior noise reducing effect even in a high flow rate.
This resonator muffler 3 has a chamber 32 completely or partially surrounding a flow channel 6. The chamber is completely covered by a cover plate 31 with respect to the flow channel 6. The cover plate has a plurality of opening parts 33 formed along the circumference of the flow channel. The opening parts of the cover plate are formed as slots aligned in the flowing direction. By forming the opening parts as mentioned above, the superior noise reducing effect can be obtained even in a high flow rate in comparison with a conventional resonator muffler having a perforated plate.
