Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the multi-mode crystal oscillator which improves a guaranteed attenuation amount by grounding a metal lid body to a reference potential and setting an electrode gap at the peak value of the guaranteed attenuation amount and any value close to the peak value.
CONSTITUTION: Input/output electrodes 3 and 4 are formed on one main face of a crystal piece 1, and a common electrode 5 is formed on the other main face. An insulated substrate 11 forming a shield electrode 16 on the side in counter to one main face of the crystal piece 1, insulated frame body 12 provided at the outer periphery of the substrate 11 and metal lid body 10 provided on the frame body 12 are arranged. This lid body 10 is connected at the same potential as the shield electrode 16, and an electrode gap G between one main face of the crystal piece 1 and the electrode 16 for shield is set at the peak value of the guaranteed attenuation amount and the value close to the peak value. Thus, the multi-mode crystal oscillator improving the guaranteed attenuation amount can be provided.
