SOLUTION: In a multipiece solid golf ball comprising a core 4, which comprises a center 1 and a core outer layer 2 formed on the center, and a cover 3 covering the core 4, the core outer layer 2 comprises one or more layers which are free of zinc salts of unsaturated carboxylic acid.
