Title:
NAPPED NONWOVEN FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08296165
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a napped nonwoven fabric excellent in pile durability and reduced in weight in simplified step at a low cost without needing to use latex, a thermoplastic resin sheet, etc., in order to fix the napped pile.

CONSTITUTION: This napped nonwoven fabric in which pile pattered to cord-like or velour-like design is formed on the surface of nonwoven fabric is composed of 76-96wt.% high-melting point polyester-based staple fiber having 2-50 denier and 4-24wt.% thermally fusible staple fiber whose sheath component comprises a low melting point copolyester, having core-sheath type conjugate structure and 1-20 denier, and the nonwoven fabric is heated at a temperature between melting points of the high melting point polyester and the low melting point copolyester. Thereby, contact points of the constituent fiber with the low melting point copolyester is fused and shape-retaining property is imparted to the nonwoven fabric and pile can firmly be fixed.
