CONSTITUTION: In a net for athletic facility, the molecular oriented molded body of a super-high molecular ethylene polymer having a limit viscosity [η]of at least 5dl/g is used as the material. By the use of the molecular oriented molded body of the specified polymer, a net for athletic facility which is excellent in strength, creep resistance, weather resistance, wear resistance and cut resistance and holds a proper softness while it is a net constituting member with a narrow diameter can be provided. Since a net with an extremely narrow diameter having the equal strength to a net with a large diameter formed from conventional polypropylene or polyethylene can be formed, situations such that the visual field of game watching is prevented by the presence of the net, or an excited spectator cuts the net and rushes into a sports stadium can be prevented.
