Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compd. which is incorporated into a specific ratio of N,N-bis(trans-4-isocyanatocyclohexy)urea of a trans isomer therein, does not have inhitating smells and tearing activity and is useful for urethane synthesis.

CONSTITUTION: The N,N-bis(trans-4-isocyanatocyclohexy)urea of a trans isomer is incorporated at 80wt.% into the compd. of the formula. The compd. of the formula is obtd. by bringing cyclohexane-1,4-diisocyanate and water into reaction. The content of the trans isomer is preferably at least 90 wt.%, more preferably at least 95 wt.% and most preferably at least 99 wt.%.
