Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a nonmetallophthalocyanine having such structure as to present each specific X-ray diffraction spectra and infrared absorption spectra, highly sensitive to the rays corresponding to the near infrared wavelength region, developing no variation in output image color deepness, defects in memory, or defects such as ghost, thus useful for e.g. electrophotographic photoreceptors by dealkalizing a specific partially hydrogenated alkali-phthlocyanine.
CONSTITUTION: This compound has structure having (A) intense diffraction peaks at the Bragg's angles (2θ±0.2):7.5, 9.0, 16.6, 17.2, 21.5, 22.2, 23.8, and 28.5 of its X-ray diffraction spectrum with CuKα as radiation source and presenting (B) four absorption bands between wave numbers 700 and 760cm-1 of its infrared absorption spectrum with the most intense band at a wave number of 716cm-1 and a characteristic absorption band at a wave number of 3291±2cm-1.
