PURPOSE: To obtain a nonwoven fabric having excellent safety, capable of readily handling and having high deodorizing function.

CONSTITUTION: This nonwoven fabric uses a synthetic resin fiber containing phosphoric acid-based glass powder containing ≥60wt.% P2O2 and ≥2wt.% Ag2O and having deodorizing function in an amount of 0.1-30wt.% based on nonwoven fabric or contains the phosphoric acid-based glass in an amount of 0.1-1000mg based on 1g nonwoven fabric in an adhesion component of the nonwoven fabric or contains the glass in both of the fiber and the adhesion component. Since silver ion and phosphoric acid having deodorizing function destroy offensive odor and, further, as the glass above-mentioned is used, this nonwoven fabric is free from problem on safety and readily handleable.
