Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously track the same object even when there occurs a shielding or mirror reflection to some of tracking objects.SOLUTION: Distance measurement data up to a measurement point in each direction is generated by scanning a watch area S, adjacent measurement points are grouped as segments G0-G3 on the basis of the distance measurement data, and a segment G2, among the segments G1-G3 obtained this time, which is in a range A within a prescribed distance D1 from a previously obtained segment GX of a vehicle M that is a tracking object and which is largest in size, is tracked as being the same object as the vehicle. Thus, it is possible to accurately track the same object even when there is a shielding or mirror reflection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
