Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device which enables improvement of occupant protection performance during a side collision of a vehicle such as a pole side collision.SOLUTION: An occupant protection device has a side airbag part 20 and a back side airbag part 21 integrally connected to a rear side of the side airbag part 20 within a seat back 10 of a vehicle seat 1. The occupant protection device includes occupant pressing means 21 which presses an occupant 8 from a vehicle rear side to a vehicle front side after the side airbag part 20 expands from the seat back 10 to the vehicle front side at an outer side of an upper body of the occupant 8 in a vehicle width direction during a side collision of a vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
