To provide an emulsified oil separating material which is obtained by using nylon as a base material, has high efficiency, and is excellent in chemical resistance and heat resistance.

The oil separating material is formed by introducing a functional group having anion exchange ability into the base material consisting of a textile material containing a nylon fiber of 20 m fiber diameter or the composite thereof, preferably, by a radiation graft polymerization method. The functional group to be introduced is a quaternary ammonium group, a tertiary amino group, etc.
