Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organopolysiloxane compound of a molecular chain single terminal functionality that has an organopolysiloxane chain in which a main chain is extremely branched, and to provide a convenient method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The organopolysiloxane having a single terminal functional group is obtained by: subjecting cyclotrisiloxane to anion living polymerization; and capping the polymer terminal by a silicon compound having a functional group. The cyclotrisiloxane is shown by formula (1), wherein Rdenotes an alkyl group, a halogenated alkyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group; and Rdenotes a methyl group or a phenyl group.
