Title:
OPERATION DETECTING MECHANISM OF BRAKE DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03118268
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To detect all the operations of a braking device which uses a master cylinder by connecting directly a pressure switch to operate following the rise of the oil pressure to the master cylinder to generate the oil pressure for braking car wheels.

CONSTITUTION: A braking device 10 of a vehicle is composed of a brake pedal 12, a master cylinder 14, and a caliper 19. In this case, at the upper end of the master cylinder 14, a pressure switch 20 is connected directly on the same axis to detect the operation of the master cylinder 14. When a driver steps on the brake pedal 12, a driving arm 12b raises a driving rod 13b, and the driving rod 13b pushes up the piston of the master cylinder 14 to generate an oil pressure. As a result, the oil pressure acts on the caliper 19 through a brake hose 17, and the car wheels are braked. Since the oil pressure acts also on the pressure switch 20 in this case, the pressure switch 20 is turned on and a brake lamp is lighted.
