Abstract:

To provide an operation method for a two-stroke reciprocation internal combustion engine, especially a two-stroke large size diesel engine, and to further provide a reciprocation internal combustion engine operated by this method.

The two-stroke reciprocation internal combustion engine (1) is provided with: a cylinder (2) having an outlet valve (3) and a scavenging opening (4) and having a piston (5) reciprocating along a traveling surface (6) between a bottom dead center (UT) and a top dead center (OT); and a turbine (9) driven by an exhaust gas from a combustion chamber (22) of the cylinder, and has a group of superchargers (7) having a rotor (10) for compressing air (11). The compressed air is fed to the combustion chamber of the cylinder while passing through the scavenging opening as a scavenger (12), the outlet valve is firstly released, and fuel injection occurs before introduction continued with scavenging to the combustion chamber of the cylinder with combustion continued to it. Thereafter, it is closed at a former stage (V) of scavenging when it is lower than at least a predetermined rotation speed.
