CONSTITUTION: In a tension member 13 connecting one end of a ribbon type optical cable tension head provided with respective end part connectors to an axial direction reinforcing member 1 and a cable tension resistance element 5 and connecting the other end to a tension grip member 29, a housing 40 separated in a positioned longitudinal direction and aligned is connected to the post stage of a slotted cable body, a deformed supporting body 41 for surrounding the tensile member 13 is arranged so as to receive the end part connectors 39 of ribbons 4 in each ribbon group stored in a groove 3 of a cable core 2, a pipe-like joint part or a pipe part 42 and axial direction preloading means 27, 45 are arranged, the pipe part 42 is provided as an external protection means, and when preloading means receives tensile stress, the extension of the member 13 is corrected.
