PURPOSE: To obtain an optical disk having little optical strain and high durability with superior transfer efficiency by coating a specified ultraviolet curing resin on a stamper, covering the coated surface with an injection molded platelike body of acrylic resin, irradiating ultraviolet rays to cure the curing resin, and stripping the stamper.
CONSTITUTION: A spacer 4 is placed along the edges of a stamper 1 for an optical disk, and a layer 2 of an ultraviolet curing resin composition contg. mono-, di-, tri- or tetraacrylic ester with ≤500 low mol.wt., a photosensitizer and tertiary amine is coated on the stamper 1. The layer 2 is covered with an injection molded substrate 3 of acrylic resin, and ultraviolet rays are irradiated from ultraviolet lamps 5 for about 0.5min to cure the layer 2. The stamper 1 is then stripped to obtain an optical disk. A faithful replica of the stamper 1 is obtd. by using the ultraviolet curing resin with high flowability. The optical disk having little optical strain and superior durability is obtd. with high productivity. The layer 2 has high bonding strength to the substrate 3.
