Abstract:
To provide an optical glass having a small partial dispersion ratio (θg, F) and an enhanced transparency to visible light while having a refractive index (nd) and an Abbe number (νd) in desired ranges; and to provide a preform and an optical element using the same.
The optical glass includes a SiO2 component, and at least one selected from the group consisting of components of Ta2O5, Nb2O5, Na2O and BaO. The partial dispersion ratio (θg, F) has relationships with the Abbe number (νd) of, in the range of νd≤25, (-0.00160×νd+0.63460)≤(θg, F)≤(-0.00563×νd+0.75573), and in the range of νd>25, (-0.00250×νd+0.65710)≤(θg, F)≤(-0.00340×νd+0.70000).
