To obtain a high density optical disk for optically recording digital information into multiple reflective layers and a method for mass production of such optical disks.
The thickness of each of multiple layers of the optical disk varies within the range between a constructive interference and a destructive interference of monochromatic light. Digital data communication from an optical reflective layer to a detector is carried out by using difference of intensity of reflective optical beam exposed by the constructive interference and the destructive interference. The optical disk provides multiple layers of digital information, and the multiple layers are synchronized to an interferometric response at correspondingly different wavelengths of monochromatic light. The optical memory medium includes a layer which emits or absorbs light depending on a dopant.
