PURPOSE: To precisely set a shape of a valve engaging part, and relative positions of a roller, a pivot engaging part and the valve engaging part.

CONSTITUTION: A rocker arm 1 formed by pressing is composed of a rocker arm body 5 incorporating a pair of roller supporting walls 51, 52, and a roller 6 adapted to make contact with a cam part, and rotatably attached between the pair of roller supporting walls 51, 52. The rocker arm body 5 has a two- piece structure, comprising a part having a valve engaging part which connects the pair of roller supporting walls 51, 52 at their one side on one longitudinal end side thereof, and a pivot engaging member 54 secured to the free end parts of the pair of walls 51, 52 on the other longitudinal end side.
