Abstract:
To provide an optical transmission line switching device capable of flexibly dealing with signals of not only known transmission formats but also new transmission formats to change the signals.
Using an optical switch 11 instead of a matrix switch as an electric switch, for example, an SDH output interface 15-2 is provided on one of optical cables 12 connected to each of input/output terminals of this optical switch 11. This interface 15-2 is allowed to have a function of converting an optical signal from the optical switch 11 into an electric signal, and shaping the waveform of this electric signal into an electric signal of connection equipment for SDH and outputting the signal.
