Abstract:
To provide a process of synthesizing a cyclohexanol derivative useful as an intermediate of a compound which shows an effect of inhibiting activated blood coagulation factor Xa and, therefore, is useful as a preventing-treating agent for thrombotic diseases.
The process for producing the compound represented by formula (II) (wherein R1 is a 2-7C alkoxycarbonyl group and Y is -COR) comprises treating a cyclohexane epoxide derivative having a specific structure in a solvent with ammonia water or a 1-4C alcohol solution of ammonia and thereafter treating the resulting compound with a di(1-6C alkyl) dicarbonate.
