Abstract:
To provide an organic fiber tire cord produced by a method for defoaming a dip liquid forming foam without contaminating the dip liquid.
A method for producing the organic fiber tire cord is carried out as follows. A treatment tank 24 storing the dip liquid 22 is provided in a dip treatment part in a dip step of the organic fiber tire cord. In treatment tank 24, defoamng sheets 40 of a film or a woven fabric float on the dip liquid. The material of the defoaming sheets 40 is a high polymeric material and, e.g. PE, PP, PET or nylon (a polyamide synthetic polymer) is used. The defoaming sheets 40 are covered with a water-repellent material or a defoaming material.
