Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject molding product capable of manifesting excellent mechanical characteristics, heat resistance, gas barrier properties and transparency by specifying the mixing ratio of two specific resins composing the molding product, and the viscosity and the strain rate of the obtained molding product. SOLUTION: This molding product is an oriented blow molding product obtained by molding a polyester composition comprising (A) 5-40 wt.% thermoplastic polyester resin in which the main repeating unit is ethylene terephthalate and (B) 95-60 wt.% thermoplastic polyester resin in which the main repeating unit is ethylene naphthalate, and has 0.50-0.85 dl/g intrinsic viscosity, and <=2.0% strain rate at the trunk part at 40 deg.C. The molding product preferably has <=8% haze. The ratio of the bulkinesses of the components A to B is preferably 8-1.2 to obtain the blow molding product excellent in transparency. As a result, the molding product can be utilized as a material for a beverage container and a food container.
