To provide an oscillating actuator which can roughly fix the load to the outside within a prescribed stroke range.
An oscillating actuator is provided with a mover B which is provided in such a way that the mover B can oscillate around a supporting shaft 1 and carries a coil 4 on one end section, and a stator A provided with permanent magnets 2a and 2b which generate magnetic fluxes perpendicular to the coil 4. The mover B is oscillated by making an electric current to flow to the coil 4. The actuator is also provided with an urging means 5 which applies a reaction F2 to the mover B oppositely to the thrust F1 acting on the mover B, so that the thrust F1 may change against the displacement with a proportional constant which is nearly equal to the spring constant of the urging means 5.
