To provide an oscillation circuit employing resistors and capacitors that can reduce fluctuations in an oscillated frequency even when a power supply voltage is fluctuated.
While a resistor circuit supplied with a first constant current generates a reference voltage, a capacitor circuit charged by a second constant current in proportion to the first constant current generates a comparison voltage in response to the charging voltage. When the comparison voltage exceeds the reference voltage, a detection signal is generated. A switch circuit turned on in response to the detection signal discharges electric charges in the capacitor circuit. The width of the detection signal is extended by a pulse width extension circuit at the same time. Then an oscillation pulse generating circuit generates an oscillation pulse on the basis of the extended pulse.
