To provide an oscillation circuit that, exemplarily, consumes less power and stabilizes the frequency of a periodic pulse of oscillation.
According to one embodiment, the oscillation circuit provided includes a current source, a first capacitive element, a second capacitive element, a switching section, a comparison section and a generation section. The switching section switches between a first state and a second state. The first state is a state in which the current source is connected to the first capacitive element and a ground potential is connected to the second capacitive element. The second state is a state in which the current source is connected to the second capacitive element and the ground potential is connected to the first capacitive element. The comparison section compares a voltage charging the first capacitive element with a reference voltage in the first state, and compares a voltage charging the second capacitive element with the reference voltage in the second state. The generation section generates a periodic pulse in accordance with the comparison result of the comparison section. The switching section alternately switches between the first state and the second state in accordance with the comparison result of the comparison section.
