This ship 10 is provided with a video tracker device 20 and a control part 24, and the control part 24 is provided with an operation judging part 26 comparing a detected value with a set value. By constituting an oscillation restraining device in this way, intensity of propulsive force applied to the ship 10 is decided by the control part 24. Namely when the displacement quantity of the ship 10 is input to the control part 24, a command signal according to the displacement quantity and the displacement speed is output, and a propeller 22 is operated by the command signal. By operating the propeller 22, damping force for oscillation is increased, or the natural period in the lengthwise direction is changed to restrain resonant action, and hence oscillation of the ship can be restrained. Hereby a mooring facility or a ship is prevented from being injured, and delay and the like of a cargo handling work due to stop of cargo handling or a wait is the offing can be prevented from generating.
