Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize natural energy without any rise in cost in an outdoor unit of an air conditioner.SOLUTION: A control circuit 60 controls an outdoor unit. When the rotational frequency of a fan in a free-run state increases above a saturation rotational frequency, the control unit drives a fan driving motor 30 to rotate in the rotating direction as the free-run rotating direction of the fan. The saturation rotational frequency is a rotational frequency of the fan at which heat exchange efficiency of the outdoor unit 1 cannot be improved even if the rotational frequency of the fan increases thereto or higher. The magnitude of driving force supplied to the fan driving motor 30 is magnitude for rotating the fan at the saturation frequency.
