Abstract:
To accurately and quickly detect the over load state of a motor due to a failure in a drive unit, etc., and applied to the motor.
A motor controlled by a current command value ia is controlled by utilizing a disturbance torque observer. A CPU calculates the disturbance torque observer <;Te>; according to a set current value ir and the angular velocity ω of the output shaft of the motor. It is decided whether the value of the disturbance torque observer <;Te>; is larger than a threshold, and if it is larger, it is decided that an overload state exists and the power supply to the motor is discontinued.
