Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen concentrator having a simple and down-sized configuration.SOLUTION: An oxygen absorbing/releasing material 1 includes an oxygen nonstoichiometric oxide (metallic oxide having a crystal structure with deficit or excess oxygen) 1a to which electrodes 3a, 3b are provided, where the oxygen is observed or released by applying power to the oxygen absorbing/releasing material 1 via the electrodes. Switching a power magnitude allows switching to current values of an oxygen releasing current range and oxygen absorbing current range respectively corresponding to an oxygen releasing temperature range and oxygen absorbing temperature range. With this configuration, an absorption/desorption of oxygen (absorption and release) from the oxygen absorbing/releasing material can be controlled by controlling the current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
