PURPOSE: To allow a package tray to be used as a foot rest if necessary by supporting the package tray installed at the lower part ahead of the assistant seat side so that it can freely move up and down around its front end part, and supporting the rear face wall of the package tray so that it can freely rise and fall.

CONSTITUTION: A glove box 3 provided with an easy-to-open-and-shut lid 4 is installed at a part of an instrument panel 1 in front of the assistant seat side. Further, a package tray 5 provided with a surrounding member 7 on a tray body 6 is installed below the glove box 3. If necessary, the surrounding member 7 is laid down forward to be superposed on the upper face of the tray body 6, and the rear end part of the tray body 6 is removed from the car body side to be turned around a support shaft 8 downward and superposed on the upper face of a car body floor 28. Thus, the package tray 5 can be utilized as a foot rest. Accordingly, the seating attitude of a crew on the assistant seat side can be made easier without installing a specialized foot rest especially.
