Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the wear resistance of the pantagraph contact strip material of an electric motor vehicle running at a high speed particularly.
CONSTITUTION: The pantagraph contact strip material of an electric motor vehicle is constituted of a lead-impregnated Fe-based sintered alloy obtd. by impregnating Pb or a Pb allay into an Fe-based sintered alloy having a compsn. contg., by weight, 5 to 30% of one or two kinds among hard Fe-Mo-Si intermetallic compounds and Fe-Mo-Si-Cr intermetallic compounds, furthermore contg., as matrix forming components, 7 to 40% Cu and one or two kinds of 0.05 to 4% Sn and 0.1 to 5% Ni, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and having 5 to 15% porosity. Thus, the strip material showing exceedingly excellent wear resistance can be obtd.
