Abstract:
Provided are a paper feeding device, a paper feed stopping method, and a printer. The paper feeding device is provided with: a support arm (101) capable of rotatably supporting a paper roll (WR); a splicer (103) which has a paster arm (113) that operates to press the adhesion position where the traveling web (W) fed from the current paper roll (WR) and the web (W) fed from a new paper roll (WR) overlap each other and a cutter (124) that cuts the traveling web (W) fed from the current paper roll (WR); a brake device (147) which applies braking force to the rotary shaft of the support arm (101) that rotates integrally with the paper roll (WR); and a control device (180) which actuates the brake device (147) and also actuates a paster brush (120) when stopping the supply of the web (W) from the current paper roll (WR).
