Abstract:
To provide a fiber having high flatness, high intensity, and evenly thin thickness, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The para-type whole aromatic polyamide fiber having a flat cross section in a cross-sectional shape of a single yarn fiber orthogonal toward the fiber axial direction satisfies follows. (a) The para-type whole aromatic polyamide fiber has a ratio (L/T1) of the longest axis (L) in the flat cross section and the longest axis (T1) orthogonal to the (L), of larger than 5.0. (b) The longest axis (T1) is 30 μm or under. (c) The variation coefficient of flatness of the flat cross section is less than 10%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
