Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title film excellent in physical properties and electrical properties and useful for e.g. laminated electrical circuit boards by casting a casting composition layer containing a specified amount of a polymer and a specified amount of a filler on a substrate and solidifying the composition.
CONSTITUTION: A dispersion of a particulate filler selected from the group consisting of glass particles, ceramic particles, metallic particles ore particles and synthetic polymer particles in a carrier liquid such as water is mixed with a polymer such as a polytetrafluoroethylene to produce a casting composition containing a polymer and a filler in relative amounts effective for obtaining a composite film containing at least 15 vol.% or above filler particles, the casting composition layer is cast on a substrate, and the cast layer is solidified to form a particulate-filled polymer matrix composite film being the purpose film.
