Abstract:
To provide a passenger conveyor to be utilized for serving quick fire fighting when a fire occurs near the passenger conveyor, without sacrificing an aesthetic appearance.
The passenger conveyor includes a cover provided on a newel part 11 for normally shielding fire extinguishing equipment 28 stored in the newel part 11 from the outside of the passenger conveyor and for exposing the fire extinguishing equipment 28 to the outside of the passenger conveyor when a fire occurs near the passenger conveyor. Thus, when a fire occurs near the passenger conveyor, the fire extinguishing equipment is brought out for serving quick fire fighting without sacrificing the aesthetic appearance.
