Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passing support device which can suppress deviation of an own vehicle from a traffic standard.SOLUTION: A passing support device 1 comprising: a detection unit 9 which detects another vehicle X when an own vehicle travels on a travel lane; a passing control unit 11 which executes a lane change from the travel lane to a passing lane, passing of other vehicle X, and a lane change from the passing lane to the travel lane; a speed setting unit 13 which sets a speed of the own vehicle to a lower one of a pre-set setting speed and a speed of a preceding vehicle Y; and a reservation unit 15 which reserves the lane change from the passing lane to the travel lane in the case that the speed of the own vehicle is lower than the setting speed when the own vehicle travels on the passing lane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
