Abstract:
To provide a pavement system using paving blocks in which road surface steps, settlement, horizontal movement (displacement), rutting, and accompanying chipping and cracking of blocks hardly occur even if applied to heavy traffic areas or heavy load areas, and a good road surface property can be maintained over a long period of time.SOLUTION: The pavement system is provided with a lower subgrade, an upper subgrade, a sand layer, a block layer composed of a plurality of paving blocks having a thickness of 100 mm or more to 150 mm or less and joint sand, and an end restraint block. The paving block is composed of a first corrugated block, an end block, and a second block. The arrangement of the first corrugated block is a herringbone bond 45°. The surface forming the road surface of the end block is formed such that at least two sides adjacent to the corrugated sides of the surface forming the road surface of the first corrugated block or the second block mesh with the corrugated sides.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
