To prevent a permanent magnet from being demagnetized by heat generation of the magnet and motor performance from being deteriorated, and also to materialize further miniaturization and high-speed rotation of a permanent magnet motor.
This permanent magnet motor has a rotor (1) having the permanent magnets (3) installed on the peripheral surface of a rotor core, and also has a blast wing (2) formed at one or more spots between adjacent permanent magnets on the peripheral part of the rotor. The blast wing (2) is provided so as to incline with respect to a center line (C-C) equidistant from the respective permanent magnets, that is spanned from one end to the other end in the axial direction of the rotor core between the adjacent permanent magnets, and to have a linear shape (or a curved shape) that is point-symmetric with respect to a midpoint between one end and the other end on the center line.
