Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a medicinal preparation useful for treating diseases attributable to gastro-esophageal reflux and gastric emptying retardation and gastrointestinal disorders such as ileus irritable bowel syndrome by compounding a purine or adenosine derivative. CONSTITUTION: The objective product is obtained by compounding a compound of formula I (R1 and R2 are each H, hydroxyl, a halogen, a substituted amino, etc.; R3 is H or a lower alkyl; X is a 1-10C alkylene; R4 is a substituted imidazol-1-yl, pyrrolinyl, etc.; X is a valence bond and R4 is formula II, formula III, etc.) or its salt, adequately mixing with conventional components for formulation and formulating according to an ordinary method. The product can be formulated into tablets, capsules, soft gels, pills, power, granules, elixir, syrups, suppositories, etc. The examples of a compound of formula I includes N-[1-(phenylmethyl)-4-piperidinyl]adenosine.
