Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a scintillator having a phase separation structure.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a scintillator includes the processes of: forming a melt layer 102 by melting part of a solid 101 of a material of a first phase and a material of a second phase having been solidified; and moving the melt layer 102 and a solid-liquid boundary surface 107 of the melt layer and solid in a first direction 113 by melting part of a first surface 105 of the solid while forming a phase separation structure by solidifying part of the melt of the melt layer 102. In the process of forming the melt layer 102 and the process of moving the melt layer 102 and solid-liquid boundary surface 107, an angle between the solid-liquid boundary surface 107 and the first surface is larger than 0 degree and equal to or less than 20 degrees, and the first direction 113 has an angle of 0 to 10 degrees to a direction of a vector 110 obtained by projecting a normal vector of the solid-liquid boundary surface on a plane crossing a perpendicular direction vertically.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
