Title:
PHONETIC KANA DISPLAY SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0635911
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To display phonetic KANA (Japanese syllabary) on the side of the characters to be given the phonetic KANA by providing a KANA allocation control part which calculates the intervals of phonetic KANA corresponding to the number of characters to be given the KANA and displays the intervals on a display part.

CONSTITUTION: A character pattern storage part 20 stores character patterns while dividing them into ROM 1-4 at every size of the character pattern. The inputted characters are stoired in a memory 7. The presence/absence phonetic KANA is judged by an identification mark. Next, a KANA allocation control part 10 selects the character pattern in the character pattern storage part 20 from the character code. Afterwards, a central position is calculated corresponding to the size of the character to be given the phonetic KANA, and the KANA is allocated at that position. The number of character starting dots from the coordinate position at that time, namely, from the head of the character to be given the KANA is corresponding to a number subtracting the size R dot of the KANA character from the length X dot of the character to be given the KANA and dividing the result by '2.' On the other hand, the length X of the character to be given the KANA can be calculated from the number of characters to be given KANA and the size of the display character.
